Nina is an idea-driven designer, who values quality story telling & craftsmanship.
I am currently a fourth-year BFA student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), with a focus in visual communication design. My work intersects art and design by combining analog processes and illustrative work with clean, thought-provoking graphic design.

2022 Finalist for the Justyna Palka Memorial Scholarship.
Selected for “Orgullo Hispano”, a 2021 exhibition dedicated to highlighting work by emerging Latinx artists in dedication of Hispanic Heritage Month, at Side Street Studio Art Gallery in Elgin, IL.
Selected for the fall 2021 exhibition “Art for Social Change: Made to Disrupt”, at the Oak Park Art League, and received merit award for book project, “Palante”.
Selected for Chroma, a film showcase for women of color at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago, Illinois in 2019.
Selected for Artbash 2019, an SAIC exhibition to highlight first-year students.
Placed in the top 10% of BFA applicants to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2018 and awarded Distinguished Artist Scholarship.
Raised over $5,000 for Action India, an NGO dedicated to providing higher-education to underprivileged women in New Delhi, India, by organizing and designing for a student-run fashion show titled, The Benefits of Fashion, in 2018.
President of the National Arts Honors Society chapter at the American Embassy School from 2017-2018.
